History of quartz wrist watches

Earlier before the introduction of wrist watches, most watches were put in to the pocket. By then they were not considered to be the best fathers day presents. Development of wrist watches was triggered by soldiers who attacked pocket watches to their wrist using s leather strap while in the battlefield, during the First Word War. This led to the development of simpler wrist watches which evolved from spring powered clocks.  The first mens wrist watch to be introduced was an analogue Quartz watch.  Quartz wrist watch was initially made with electromagnetic pulses called the quart movements. Use of quartz crystal as an oscillator was the starting point method for keeping time.

The development of cheaper and lighter semiconductors was the major contributing factor to the development of a quartz wrist watch. The idea of using quartz is considered as an extremely accurate time keeping method that worked through a tiny crystal which kept vibrating.  The crystals are not affected by temperature change and this means that a quartz wrist watch will remain accurate despite temperature change. A synthetic sapphire is the most expensive and commonly used crystal for Quartz wrist watches. Mens wrist watch was brought in to existence and this was a great opportunity of including watches among the best fathers day presents.

Mens wrist watch is basically a small piece of chronometer worn around the wrist for keeping time. With development of technology Quartz wrist watches are becoming smaller day after day.
